In a culture that tells us we should all be able to handle everything on our own, seeking help requires a tremendous amount of courage.

My approach to therapy involves empathy, humor, respectful curiosity, and a recognition of the many different ways that systemic oppression affects us. I believe that each one of us has a story that deserves to be heard.

I have been trained in both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies, and I draw on both of these approaches in my therapeutic work, depending on each individual’s unique needs and goals for therapy. My practice is grounded in an anti-oppressive framework, which recognizes that we are all affected by social inequality. My goal as a therapist is always to create a safe space that allows for reflection, learning, and growth.

If relationships, school, work, or other stressful circumstances are leaving you feeling overwhelmed, therapy can help you:

  • Establish healthy boundaries in your relationships
  • Explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns of responding that are getting in the way
  • Gain new perspectives on difficult and stressful life experiences
  • Find new strength to cope with transitions, loss, and ongoing challenges
  • Cultivate compassion for yourself and others

A warm, encouraging therapeutic relationship creates a supportive space for exploring new ways of approaching old problems.  Learn more about me, my fees, and how to contact me to schedule a consultation.
